Gingrich Advocates Principles and Technology at GOP Tech Summit
In a speech that expresses “ConservaTechnology” far more eloquently than we ever could, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich has called on Republicans to focus on principles. Then, technology should be used to communicate those principles in a two-way, “inclusive” manner.
Here’s a UTube video of Gingrich’s remarks.
Obama Gets To Keep His “BarackBerry”
The wrangling is finally over. Now that Barack Obama has been sworn in as President of the United States and Commander in Chief, he has won out. He gets to keep his BlackBerry, or, as it has sometimes been called, the “BarackBerry.”
Of course, the device Obama will be toting around is not quite the same as the one in your pocket. According to Marc Ambinder from the National Security Agency, the BarackBerry cost just over $3,300. Among other things, it will enable the President to encrypt phone calls and view classified documents.
Yet one more piece of evidence that Obama & Co. are heartily embracing technology. Needless to say, Republicans must do the same.
